Memories of Mr. Boyle

I had Mr. Boyle my first year at Schreiber. I had heard many wonderful stories about him, as he was once my mother's math teacher as well. He was always covered in chalk because he would get SO excited about teaching and would literally leap around the room - usually unintentionally brushing up against the chalkboard. There was one day, however, in which he drew the outline of a door on the board; and, he proceeded to teach us a math concept by showing us that it was a drawing of a door but not a real door. He slammed into the board to make this point. Needless to say, we all understood his lesson! He was a passionate, dedicated teacher who will forever be remembered.
